Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken

A rich and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken breasts cooked in a creamy garlic Parmesan sauce. Perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Reduce heat to medium and add the minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
Add the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes. Stir continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
Add the unsalted butter to the sauce and stir until melted and incorporated.
Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Simmer for 2-3 minutes to heat through.
Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the chicken before serving.
