Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Deliciously soft and chewy peanut butter cookies with a rich, nutty flavor. Perfect for any occasion and easy to make with simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the peanut butter and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth.
Add the egg, baking soda, vanilla extract, and salt to the peanut butter mixture. Stir until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
Using a fork, gently press down on each ball to create a crisscross pattern.
Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
