1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon extract
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
Red food coloring (optional)
Instructions
In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, and cream of tartar over medium heat.
Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
Bring the mixture to a boil without stirring.
Once boiling, add cinnamon extract and food coloring if desired.
Continue boiling until the mixture reaches the hard crack stage (300°F or 150°C).
Remove from heat and pour the mixture onto a greased baking sheet.
Allow it to cool completely before breaking it into pieces.
