  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup apple butter
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, egg, salt, and cinnamon to the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread apple butter evenly on top.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
  9. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Let cool slightly before serving.
