Ingredients
Scale
6 large eggs
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
Black olives (for decoration)
Red food coloring (optional)
Instructions
Hard boil the eggs by placing them in a pot of water and bringing it to a boil. Once boiling, cover and remove from heat, letting them sit for 12 minutes.
Cool the eggs in ice water, then peel them carefully.
Slice the eggs in half lengthwise and remove the yolks into a bowl.
Add mayonnaise, mustard, salt, pepper, and paprika to the yolks and mix until smooth.
Fill the egg whites with the yolk mixture.
For a creepy effect, use black olives to create ‘eyes’ on the deviled eggs.
If desired, add a drop of red food coloring to the yolk mixture for a bloody effect.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a dash of hot sauce to the yolk mixture.
These can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
Garnish with fresh herbs for added flavor and decoration.
