Creme Brulee Pie: Indulge in This Decadent Delight!

Creme Brulee Pie

Creme Brulee Pie is a delightful dessert that combines the creamy richness of traditional creme brulee with a flaky pie crust, offering a perfect balance of textures and flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 large egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar. Heat over medium until sugar dissolves.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together egg yolks and vanilla extract.
  4. Slowly pour the warm cream mixture into the egg yolks, whisking constantly to prevent curdling.
  5. Pour the mixture into the pre-made pie crust.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the filling is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  7. Let the pie cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Before serving, sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the top and use a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar until golden and crispy.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use all heavy cream instead of a mix with milk.
  • Make sure to cool the pie completely before refrigerating.
  • Use a torch for best results when caramelizing the sugar.
