  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 large egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Grate the potatoes and place them in a clean kitchen towel to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes, shredded cheese, flour, green onions, egg, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot oil and flatten slightly.
  6. Fry until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
