Ingredients

Scale

2 Chicken breasts
1 cup Breadcrumbs
2 Eggs
1/2 cup All-purpose flour
1 cup Marinara sauce
1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
2 tablespoons Olive oil
2 cloves Garlic, minced
Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Dredge each chicken breast first in flour, shaking off excess, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
Pour marinara sauce evenly over the chicken breasts.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese on top of the sauce.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
Serve each chicken breast on a white round plate, spooning any extra sauce and cheese over the top.
