Florida Orange Juice Pumpkin Bread with Streusel and Orange Glaze

A deliciously moist pumpkin bread infused with Florida orange juice, topped with a crunchy streusel and a sweet orange glaze.

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup streusel topping
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons Florida orange juice (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the Florida orange juice, pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, and eggs.
  3. In another bowl, combine the flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. If using, fold in the chopped nuts.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the streusel topping on top.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar with Florida orange juice until smooth and drizzle over the cooled bread.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • This bread can be frozen for up to 3 months; wrap tightly in plastic wrap.
  • For a richer flavor, add chocolate chips or dried cranberries to the batter.
