Deep-fried salmon cubes coated in a crispy panko crust, drizzled with a spicy-sweet bang bang sauce and garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb salmon fillet cut into 1-inch cubes
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 large egg
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
1 tbsp sriracha
1 tbsp lime juice
2 green onions, sliced
1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
In a bowl, whisk the egg with lime juice.
In separate shallow dishes, place cornstarch, flour, and panko breadcrumbs.
Coat each salmon cube first in cornstarch, then dredge in flour, dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
Carefully deep-fry the salmon cubes in batches for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha to make the bang bang sauce.
Arrange the salmon bites in a circular pattern on a white round plate.
Drizzle the bang bang sauce over the bites.
Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
