A skillet-grilled sandwich featuring sliced turkey breast, fresh guacamole, melted cheddar cheese, and crispy toasted sourdough bread.
2 slices sourdough bread
2 tablespoons butter
2 slices cheddar cheese
3 ounces sliced turkey breast
1/4 cup guacamole (made with avocado, lime juice, salt, diced tomato, onion, cilantro)
Heat a skillet over medium heat.
Butter one side of each sourdough bread slice evenly.
Place one slice, buttered side down, onto the skillet.
Layer the cheddar cheese slices on the bread in the skillet.
Add the sliced turkey breast evenly over the cheese.
Spread the fresh guacamole over the turkey.
Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
Grill for about 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and the cheese starts melting.
Carefully flip the sandwich and grill the other side for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown and cheese is fully melted.
Remove from skillet and let rest for a minute.
Cut the sandwich diagonally into two halves and stack slightly offset on a plain white plate.
