Halloween Cheesecake Brownies

Deliciously rich brownies topped with a creamy cheesecake layer, perfect for Halloween celebrations.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (orange and black)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add the powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.
  7. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, then spread the cheesecake mixture over it.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter on top of the cheesecake layer and swirl with a knife.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before cutting into squares and decorating with food coloring for a Halloween theme.

  • For a more festive look, use Halloween-themed sprinkles on top.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • These brownies can be made a day in advance for easier serving.
