How To Make Crispy Chilli Beef Rice

A delicious and crispy dish featuring tender beef coated in a spicy chili sauce, served over rice.

  • 500g beef strips
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 red chili, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, marinate the beef strips with soy sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the marinated beef and fry until crispy and browned. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, add garlic, ginger, and sliced chili, sautéing until fragrant.
  6. Add sugar and vinegar, stirring to combine.
  7. Return the crispy beef to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.
  8. Serve the crispy chili beef over the cooked rice and garnish with green onions.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or fewer chilies.
  • For a healthier option, use lean beef cuts.
