1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, sliced
1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded provolone cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
Add the sliced onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, and garlic to the skillet and cook until the vegetables are tender.
Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
Top with provolone and mozzarella cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture.
Feel free to substitute the ground beef with ground turkey or chicken.
This casserole can be made ahead of time and reheated.
