1 package of mozzarella sticks
1 can of crescent roll dough
1 egg (for egg wash)
Olive oil (for brushing)
Black olives (for eyes)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Unroll the crescent roll dough and cut it into thin strips.
Wrap the strips around each mozzarella stick, leaving a small gap for the eyes.
Place the wrapped mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush the dough with egg wash and olive oil.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and place black olive pieces as eyes on each mummy.
Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
For a spicier version, add some red pepper flakes to the mozzarella sticks before wrapping.
