A quick and delicious one pot creamy garlic shrimp recipe that combines tender shrimp in a rich, garlicky cream sauce, perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

1 tablespoon olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
Pour chicken broth into the skillet and bring to a simmer, scraping any browned bits from the bottom.
Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Add butter to the sauce and stir until melted and incorporated.
Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy garlic sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the shrimp and sauce before serving.
