A quick and easy one pot pasta recipe using your favorite jarred pasta sauce. Perfect for a simple weeknight dinner with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale

12 ounces dry pasta (penne, rotini, or spaghetti)
3 cups water
1 jar (24 ounces) marinara pasta sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

In a large pot or deep skillet, combine the dry pasta, water, jarred marinara sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper.
Stir the ingredients together to combine and ensure the pasta is submerged in the liquid.
Place the pot over medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally to prevent the pasta from sticking to the bottom.
Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer uncovered for 12 to 15 minutes, stirring frequently, until the pasta is cooked through and most of the liquid is absorbed.
Remove the pot from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
