Pumpkin Dump Cake with Spice Cake Mix

A delicious and easy-to-make dessert that combines the flavors of pumpkin and spice cake mix for a delightful treat.

  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) spice cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well.
  3. Pour the pumpkin mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the dry spice cake mix evenly over the pumpkin mixture.
  5. If using, sprinkle chopped nuts on top of the cake mix.
  6. Drizzle melted butter over the top of the cake mix.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
