Tender ground beef sautéed with garlic and soy sauce, served in crisp green cabbage leaves and garnished with green onions and red chili flakes.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef
1 small green cabbage (leaves separated and washed)
3 garlic cloves (minced)
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
3 green onions (sliced)
1 tsp red chili flakes

Instructions

Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through about 7-8 minutes.
Stir in soy sauce and cook for another 2 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
Meanwhile, gently steam or blanch cabbage leaves just until slightly tender but still crisp.
To serve, arrange cabbage leaves on a plate to form bowls.
Spoon the beef mixture into cabbage leaves.
Garnish with sliced green onions and sprinkle with red chili flakes.
