2 cups fresh blackberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 cup lemon juice
4 cups sparkling water

Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
In a saucepan, combine blackberries, sugar, and water. Cook over medium heat until the blackberries break down and the mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.
Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds and pulp, creating a blackberry syrup.
In a large pitcher, combine the blackberry syrup and lemon juice.
Add sparkling water and stir gently to combine.
Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
Notes
For an added smoky flavor, consider using a smoking gun to infuse the drink with smoke before serving.
Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar according to your taste.
