Southern Roadhouse Ribs

  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 cup of barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of paprika
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs.
  5. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  6. Cover the ribs with another piece of foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours.
  7. Remove the ribs from the oven and brush with barbecue sauce.
  8. Grill the ribs on medium heat for 5-10 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
  9. Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

  • For extra flavor, marinate the ribs overnight with the spice rub.
