  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (black and orange)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast, let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter, sugar, and salt to the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually mix in flour until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  8. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Mix powdered sugar, vanilla, and food coloring to create icing and drizzle over the rolls.

Notes

  • For a spooky effect, use black and orange food coloring in the icing.
  • These rolls can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
  • Serve warm for the best flavor.
