Slow Cooker Hamburger Ground Beef Dinner

1.5 pounds ground beef
4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced into 1-inch pieces
3 large carrots, peeled and sliced
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons cold water

Instructions

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and cooked through, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
Transfer the cooked ground beef to the slow cooker.
Add the diced potatoes, sliced carrots, chopped onion, and minced garlic to the slow cooker.
Pour in the diced tomatoes with their juice, tomato sauce, and beef broth.
Stir in Worcestershire sauce, dried Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, or until the vegetables are tender.
About 15 minutes before serving, mix the cornstarch and cold water in a small bowl to create a slurry.
Stir the slurry into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
Cover and cook on high for an additional 15 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
