Air Fryer Shrimp and Asparagus

A quick and healthy air fryer recipe featuring tender shrimp and crisp asparagus seasoned with garlic and lemon. Perfect for a light dinner or a nutritious side dish.

1/2 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest

Instructions

Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
In a medium bowl, combine the shrimp, asparagus, olive oil, minced garlic, kosher salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Toss well to evenly coat all ingredients.
Place the shrimp and asparagus mixture in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking.
Cook in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time to promote even crisping.
Remove the shrimp and asparagus from the air fryer and transfer to a serving dish.
Drizzle the lemon juice over the cooked shrimp and asparagus, then sprinkle with lemon zest.
Toss gently to combine and serve immediately.
