Scale

8 ounces elbow macaroni pasta
2 cups marinara sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Drain the pasta and set aside.
In the same pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Add the marinara sauce, garlic powder, dried basil, salt, and black pepper to the pot and stir to combine.
Simmer the sauce for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add the cooked pasta back into the pot with the sauce and stir until the pasta is evenly coated.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the pasta and cover the pot with a lid.
Let it sit for 2-3 minutes off the heat to allow the cheese to melt.
Serve the pasta topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
