1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2-3 bananas)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Stir until well combined.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the banana mixture and whisk until smooth.
In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
