Banana Muffin with Nutella Swirl

Deliciously moist banana muffins with a creamy Nutella swirl, perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.

Ingredients

Scale

1 1/2 cups (190 grams) all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 large ripe bananas, mashed
3/4 cup (150 grams) granulated sugar
1 large egg
1/3 cup (80 ml) vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup (150 grams) Nutella

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a large bowl, combine the mashed bananas, granulated sugar, egg, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until well blended.
Add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture and gently fold until just combined. Do not overmix.
Spoon half of the batter evenly into the prepared muffin cups.
Drop about 1 teaspoon of Nutella onto the center of each muffin cup over the batter.
Spoon the remaining batter over the Nutella, dividing evenly among the muffin cups.
Use a toothpick or skewer to gently swirl the Nutella into the batter to create a marbled effect.
Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
Remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool in the tin for 5 minutes.
Transfer the muffins to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
