Crispy Air Fryer Tilapia

A quick and easy recipe for crispy, flavorful tilapia fillets cooked to perfection in the air fryer. Perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner.

4 tilapia fillets (about 4 ounces each), skinless and boneless
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 large eggs
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
In a shallow bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
In a second shallow bowl, beat the two eggs until smooth.
In a third shallow bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels.
Dredge each fillet first in the seasoned flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
Dip the fillets into the beaten eggs, ensuring they are fully coated.
Press the fillets into the panko breadcrumbs to coat evenly on all sides.
Lightly brush or spray both sides of the breaded fillets with olive oil.
Place the coated tilapia fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they do not overlap. You may need to cook in batches.
Cook the tilapia at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fish is cooked through and the coating is golden and crispy.
Carefully remove the fillets from the air fryer and serve immediately.
