A simple and comforting dish featuring cooked spaghetti served alongside toasted bread, perfect for a quick meal or snack.
100 grams dried spaghetti
500 milliliters water
1 teaspoon salt
2 slices white bread
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Salt and black pepper to taste
Bring the 500 milliliters of water to a boil in a medium saucepan.
Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the boiling water.
Add the dried spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, about 8-10 minutes, until al dente.
While the spaghetti cooks, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Add the 2 slices of white bread to the skillet and toast them on each side until golden brown and crisp, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Drain the cooked spaghetti and return it to the saucepan.
Toss the spaghetti with the sautéed garlic and olive oil, then season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Divide the spaghetti onto two plates.
Sprinkle each serving with 1 tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese and 0.5 tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley.
Serve the toasted bread slices alongside the spaghetti.
