A delicious and nutritious high-protein beef bowl packed with flavorful ingredients, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.
1 pound lean ground beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium yellow onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup cooked quinoa
1 cup cooked brown rice
1 cup steamed broccoli florets
1 cup shredded carrots
1 cup chopped spinach
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 green onions, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and translucent.
Add the lean ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, grated ginger, and black pepper.
Pour the sauce mixture over the cooked beef in the skillet. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
In four serving bowls, evenly distribute the cooked quinoa and brown rice as the base.
Top each bowl with the cooked beef mixture, steamed broccoli florets, shredded carrots, and chopped spinach.
Garnish each bowl with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
Serve immediately and enjoy your high-protein beef bowl.
