Air Fryer Chicken Breast with Pesto

A quick and flavorful recipe for juicy chicken breasts cooked in the air fryer and topped with fresh basil pesto. Perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner.

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 6 ounces each)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup fresh basil pesto

Instructions

Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
Brush both sides of each chicken breast with olive oil.
Season both sides of the chicken breasts evenly with salt and black pepper.
Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they do not overlap.
Cook the chicken breasts in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 14 to 15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Remove the chicken breasts from the air fryer and let them rest for 3 minutes.
Spread 2 tablespoons of fresh basil pesto over each chicken breast before serving.
