A warm and cheesy garlic bread casserole that’s perfect as a side dish or a comforting snack. Layers of garlic butter-soaked bread, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese baked to golden perfection.
1 loaf French bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and minced garlic.
Place the cubed French bread in a large mixing bowl. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the bread cubes and toss until all pieces are evenly coated.
In a 9×13 inch baking dish, spread half of the garlic butter-coated bread cubes evenly.
Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese over the bread layer.
Add the remaining bread cubes on top, spreading them evenly.
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the top layer.
Season with salt, black pepper, and chopped fresh parsley.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the top is golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let the casserole cool for 5 minutes before serving.
